A little excitement on today's ride. Around mile 20, this stupid bloody woman driver looks me right in the eye, then pulls into a driveway directly in front of me. Gave me an opportunity to test Indy's brakes, which thankfully worked very well. A few choice words and I was on my way ... only to be charged by a loose dog a few hundred yards down the road. I put on my best "gerrin beyind" Kiwi farmer's voice and the dog stopped in its tracks and turned tail. I spent the next ten miles waiting for the other shoe to drop, but the rest of the ride was uneventful.
It was a beautiful DC winter's day - perfect for riding. Off to Skyline Drive again tomorrow for 18 miles. Supposed to be freezing and rain. Wish me luck!
