What a difference a year makes
I realised that it is almost exactly a year (1/12/2008) since my IT Band Syndrome revealed itself on a 7 mile run. A year ago, I couldn't run for 15 minutes without excruciating pain. I thought my season was over before it began and in the end, it took me months to come back. But look how far I've come! In one year, from hobbling a mile back to the car because I couldn't run, to 20 completely pain free miles. Thank goodness for the wonderful coaching I have available to me. I certainly could not have recovered so relatively quickly to be even stronger with no recurrence of the injury without their expertise and encouragement. So thanks Margie, Ray and Cathy from Potomac River Running!
